Long life for the business
One of the standout features of the tablet is its battery life - more than 10 hours of life while it was being tested. When it comes to equipping mobile sales teams or staff who are on the road a lot, it’s a solid option – letting them do their thing without having to return to base or investing in car chargers.
Like other Samsung devices, it also comes with Power Saving and Ultra Power Saving modes, letting you restrict non-essential functions when you’re running low on juice.
Expandable storage
One of the biggest limitations on other tablets is restricted storage space, hampering the ability to manage tasks that require large file sizes or a suite of space-consuming business apps. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A overcomes this with expandable memory up to 128GB using a microSD card (sold separately) in addition to the 16GB on-board storage.
This can make a huge difference for business owners that are heavily reliant on multimedia to assist with sales or product showcases, allowing for more to be carried on the road, and allowing for more materials at your fingertips.
Do the splits
Want to review a document while putting reference material next to it? Or go through sales figures while looking at website analytics? The Galaxy Tab A’s Multi Window split screen mode allows for different windows to be set side by side to allow for complementary information to be reviewed in tandem, making tasks requiring back and forth between windows less cumbersome.
Get connected
For business owners who present frequently and want to make the process more seamless, it might be time to invest in a couple of Samsung Smart TVs.
The Quick Connect feature allows for sharing of media between compatible devices, meaning you can broadcast videos or presentations straight onto the TV and use the tablet to control what’s happening on screen.
The Tab A is also compatible with the Microsoft Office Suite, so you’ll get a smooth transition from desktop to tablet.
What’s the catch?
The Samsung Galaxy’s single speaker doesn’t give out the sound quality more premium products do, and it feels less expensive than other Samsungs in the tablet range such as the latest Note or higher end Tab models.
But it doesn’t have the price tag of these models, either. With an RRP of $299*, it’s great value for money that can deliver benefits to businesses of all shapes and sizes – from the boardroom to the back of a car.
