Stay productive
The handset is no slouch when it comes to performance, packing an 8-core processor and a generous 3GB of RAM. This gives it plenty of multi-tasking grunt, put to good use by Samsung's split-screen mode that helps increase your productivity: letting you run two apps side-by-side, in portrait or landscape mode, and even drag content between the apps.
And it’s good news for those who are running around between meetings - with Ultra Fast Charging and built-in wireless charging capabilities its designed to keep you going and going.
Stay safe
The Galaxy S6 also offers considerable safety benefits. Running Android 5.0 "Lollipop", Google's new mobile operating system, it offers improved full-disk encryption to keep your data safe, along with Security Enhanced Linux (SELinux) to isolate malicious apps and limit the damage they can do.
My knox
Samsung's enterprise-grade Knox security platform stores your business apps away in a container, basically creating two handsets in one. It's a useful way to draw the line between personal and business use, especially on work-issued smartphones for your employees.
Small businesses can also use the My Knox app (which comes with the device) to jump between the standard home screen and a separate suite of apps stored in the Knox Workspace. My Knox also supports remote find, lock and wipe features, giving more peace of mind.
Larger businesses can use the Knox Enterprise Mobility Management suite to manage a fleet of devices, with Knox also compatible with a range of third-party Mobile Device Management platforms including BlackBerry BES12, Citrix Mobile, AirWatch, MobileIron and Good Technology.
Backed by aluminium
The ultra-slim Galaxy S6 swaps the S5's plastic back for an elegant aluminium body, but the trade-off is that the battery is sealed in – something which might frustrate long-time Samsung users. The Galaxy S6 also lacks a microSD slot for boosting the storage, although the handset is available with a choice of 32, 64 or 128GB of onboard storage.
